About Dikarya
Mission & Scope
Dikarya is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing our understanding of fungal diversity, evolution, and taxonomy. We publish original research articles, reviews, and short communications covering all aspects of mycology, with particular emphasis on:
- Fungal systematics and phylogenetics
- Species descriptions and taxonomic revisions
- Molecular evolution and genomics
- Biogeography and ecological studies
- Nomenclatural and methodological advances

All content will be licensed under CC BY unless the authors request a different license.
Authorship
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
Data Availability
Authors are required to deposit sequence data in public repositories (GenBank, UNITE), reference iNaturalist or Mushroom Observer observations for studied collections, and provide specimen accession numbers for type material.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work.
Open Access Policy
Dikarya is a fully open-access journal. All articles are immediately and freely available to read, download, and share upon publication. We believe scientific knowledge should be accessible to all researchers, regardless of institutional resources. We do not charge article processing charges (APCs) or publication fees.
